Continuing from where Seduced finished, Leda decides to have a few days to herself in her cottage, despite storm warnings. The storm brings more than flotsam ashore, when a ship-wrecked Asian woman in green overalls bursts into her cottage pursued by a gun-toting man. A fishing boat has been driven ashore, and Leda finds herself in the midst of an international confrontation, when it is revealed the boat is also carrying items that should not be being produced in a nuclear-free country. Events become explosive, when two detonations devastate the beach, and the subterranean ‘factory.’

This is only one issue Leda has to deal with. From a now elderly Cyrene, through Julius, she learns more of Calypso’s World War II experiences, and that beyond the breakers is a sunken Japanese submarine, and that Calypso and her son Luke had at the time thwarted a mini-invasion. Then there is the discovery of skeletal remains of a boy, and the exploits at that war’s end of a girl called Eve.
