This charming little book spells out last days of an old-fashioned smuggling ring. Out in the ocean old-time Luke and his naive deckhand actually catch fish: one of which gets a packet, dropped from a passing cargo ship, shoved down its gullet. On shore 1960s mode Kay in her Austin Healey sweeps by the cove, where Luke resides, and snatches the fish, making a nefarious detour on the way home. Here the team leader Harris dwells. Unfortunately the police and nature intervene, and by the time the former are ready to strike, the latter has struck down several of the team.
