Clark writes in various genres. The six volume Wind From The West series and The Albatross are historical New Zealand novels. Fish Chips and Rachmaninoff and The Castaway Hat are mystery, while the four-volume Deprived series, The Consequence and Plantation (Now The Rain Forest) are enviro/political, or speculative fiction. Clark also paints scenes from the novels, and these have over the last fifteen years have been exhibited at twenty Auckland libraries.
